Jane Southern Elliot

I was born in London but moved to Greece when I was eight, during the Military dictatorship. I have attended English and Greek education. making me bilingual. The exposure to different languages led to my interest in Languages and Linguistics in general. I studied English Language and Literature at the University of Sheffield then continued to earn an MA degree in Historical Language Studies, in which my main focus was on Old English. I teach Language in Adult Education and I am currently learning German.

My main areas of personal interests are: Classical Greek History, Literature and Philosophy. But I am also interested in different cultures and music from around the world.

In my spare time I update my website and I am in the process of writing a dictionary and grammar book. I also spend time with my three feline babies: Gem, Nymph and Shelob.
